100 Nigerian pilgrims abscond during pilgrimage to Israel

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), Tor Uja, has said 100 Christian pilgrims absconded during the 2017 pilgrimage to Israel.

He revealed this while receiving security report of the 2017 pilgrimage on Monday in Abuja. The NCPC boss said that the 100 pilgrims who absconded were from five states in Nigeria, adding that a serving soldier, a police inspector and a lecturer were among the absconders.

CCTV footage shows Garki Hospital promptly treated Abuja corps member shot by policeman

CCTV footage from Garki Hospital, Abuja, has shown that Nkechi Igwetu, the National Youth Service Corps member shot by a police officer in Abuja on July 4th, was taken in for treatment almost immediately she arrived the hospital premises, Premium Times reports.

This new development is contary to initial claims made by friends of the deceased that the hospital autorities rejected her even when a police officer was present.

The hospital CCTV camera showed that Ms. Igwetu arrived Garki Hospital at about 3am. On arrival, someone ran out of the car into the building and met two people, identified as a nurse and a doctor on duty by the communications officer. By 3:13 a.m., the doctor took her gloves and went outside to look at the situation.

President Donald Trump has named Washington, D.C. federal judge Brett Kavanaugh to fill a vacancy on the U.S. Supreme Court following Anthony Kennedy's exit.

'Judge Kavanaugh has impeccable credentials, unsurpassed qualifications and a proven commitment to equal justice under the law. There is no one in America more qualified for this position, and no one more deserving,' Trump said in his announcement.

Nigerian lady arrested with cocaine concealed in her vagina in India

A Nigerian woman was arrested by the Kolkata unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in Kolkata, India, after she concealed LSD blots and cocaine in her private parts.

David Blessing, 30, was intercepted the moment she landed in Kolkata from Mumbai at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport at around 9.20 PM on Monday.

Adeyemi Alao, the boyfriend and suspected killer of Miss Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, has been arrested by the Ondo State Police Command. Photo showing the room where he buried her beneath his bed has also emerged.

20-year-old Khadijat, a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, was found dead in her boyfriend’s house six days after she went missing from school. She was found buried in a shallow grave in Adeyemi's room.

According to reports, Adeyemi,  popularly known as QS, had killed her for ritual purposes then he dug a grave in the room, buried the deceased in it, and placed his mattress on the shallow grave.

A month after it was reported that Rihanna, 30, had split from her billionaire boyfriend Hassan Jameel, 29, the pair were spotted together on vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico on Friday.

In photos taken by paparazzi, it looked like the couple was still trying to work things out as they were pictured having a very tense exchange while lounging at a poolside.

At one point, the 30-year-old singer was spotted pointing her finger towards the Saudi businessman who also didn't look happy at all.

Hassan was later seen walking away from the singer looking dejected after the argument.

Eleven of the Thai boys trapped in cave are now rescued leaving just one more and their football coach to be freed

11 members of a Thai youth football team trapped in a flooded cave for 18 days have been rescued, leaving just one boy and their coach still stuck underground.

The 11th rescued child is reported by Thai media to be the youngest member of the team, 11-year-old Chanin Wiboonrungruang, whose nickname is Titan.

Presidential aide, Babafemi Ojudu slams Governor Fayose for disrespecting President Buhari

Special Adviser to President Buhari on Political Matters, Senator Babafemi Ojudu, has slammed Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, for publicly disrespecting and humilating President Buhari.

In a post shared on Facebook, Ojudu accused Governor Fayose of paying transporters in the state to stay off work today so they would not carry APC members who are meant to receive President Buhari for the party's mega rally slated for today July 10th. Ojudu says this is the height of Governor Fayose's disrespect to President Buhari. Posting photo of the transporters allegedly paid to stay off work today, Ojudu wrote;

Doctors, how can this be explained?

A woman who has been married for 12 years without a child, gave birth to a set of twins in March this year. Then in June, only 3 months later, she gave birth to a son. 

According to her niece who shared the news on Facebook, the new mother kept complaining of stomach pain after giving birth to her twins, a boy and a girl. On June 29, she went into labour again and gave birth to another boy.

This occurrence has left people stunned after her story went viral and people are wondering how this can be explained medically.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, The Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Princess Anne and her husband Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence, and Sophie The Countess of Wessex were all present for the centenary service. 

It was 100 years ago on April 1 1918 that the Royal Flying Corps and the Royal Naval Air Service merged to create the RAF - the world's first independent air service.

Following the service at Westminster Abbey, the Queen will present a new Queen's Colour to the RAF along with her son Prince Charles in the forecourt of Buckingham Palace, before she makes a brief speech.

Hollywood actor and director, George Clooney was rushed to a hospital after his motorbike collided with a car in Sardinia.

According to local reports, the 57-year-old star was on his way to a film set on the Italian island when a Mercedes car struck him.

Sardinian newspaper Nuova Sardegna claimed it happened as the car was turning and collided with Clooney's bike. "George Clooney at the hospital: with his bike he ended up against a car that was turning," the post read when translated from Italian to English.

Young boy commits suicide in uncompleted building in Cross River state (graphic photo)

The body of a young boy found yesterday hanging from an uncompleted building in Cross River state has left people horrified.

The body was found in a building at Adiabo Ikot Mbo, Cross River State. According to reports, the dangling body was discovered by neighbours who then raised alarm.

It is suspected he committed suicide but some have also pointed out the possibility that it could be a murder which is being covered up as suicide.

An investigation has reportedly commenced into his death.
