A 23-year-old Chinese woman caused serious damage to her ex- boyfriend’s tongue during a 'break up kiss' 
The bizarre incident happened when the man had announced their break up to the 26-year-old woman, who then wanted a last kiss.
The break-up kiss turned into pain for the man who was left in tears before officers in the province were forced to use pepper spray on the woman to free her ex.
The incident occurred on the street of Qianshan in Anhui Province on May 20, which is an unofficial day of confession in China due to its numerical pronunciation in Mandarin Chinese.

Mail Online reported that the woman's parents explained to police that their daughter recently became 'mentally unstable' after being scammed while shopping online, and that could be the cause of her behaviour.
They also revealed that their daughter and the man have been in a relationship for several years.

The Niger State Police Command has paraded 16 suspects for attack on an Indian national, cattle rustling, car theft and illegal possession of firearms.
The suspects were arrested through different intelligence led-operations carried out in the state.
A statement issued on Wednesday, by the spokesperson for the command, ASP Muhammad Inna Abubakar said that on detectives received information that one Ismail Yusuf, 23, of Toro LGA of Bauchi State, a staff of Bolaji Drilling Company behind Abdulsalam Garage Tunga, criminally trespassed into the house of one Sattish Kasara, the Indian manager of Bolaji Drilling Company and inflicted serious injuries on his head with a hammer.
On receipt of the information, police detectives attached to Tudun Wada Division arrested the suspect. Exhibit recovered are hammer and a pipe. Case will soon be charged to court.

In another development, on 06/05/2018 at about 1800hrs information received that one Abubakar Haruna ‘m’ of Eregi Fulani camp Katcha LGA went for grazing with 19 cows and Ten sheep while  two unknown person(s) armed with machetes accosted and attacked him and made away with the cows and the Sheeps.
During police investigation, one Abdullahi Abubakar ‘m’ aged 30yrs of Fulani camp Yakobi Paiko LGA and One Musa Shehu ‘m’ aged 20yrs of Kambe Oloran area of Kwara State  were arrested and they confessed to have being perpetrating series of cattle rustling in Kudu area of Mokwa LGA and Kataeregi Katcha LGA where they rustled 27 cows and 33 sheeps. Exhibits recovered include 32 cows and 26 sheep. Case will soon be charged to court.
On 16/05/2018 at about 1200hrs, based on a tip-off, JTF patrol team  deployed to Zungeru Hydro Power Project intercepted and arrested a four man gang who specialized in illegal manufacturing of fire arms (Dane guns).
The suspects are; 1. Badamasi Umar aged 54yrs ‘m’ of Gidigori in Rafi LGA of Niger State, 2. Adamu Aliyu  aged 45yrs ‘m’ of Gidigori in Rafi LGA of Niger State 3. Kabiru Tukura aged 40yrs m’ of Gungu village in Shiroro LGA of Niger State and 4. Isyaku Madaki aged 40yrs ‘m’ of Gungu village in Shiroro LGA of Niger State.

During police investigation, Badamasi Umar confessed of being the manufacturer and had sold about 7 Dane guns to different people in Gungu Village of Shiroro LGA.  12 Dane guns were recovered in their possession. Case will soon be charged to court.
In another painstaking investigation, On 07/05/2018 information received that some times in the month of December 2017 one Mrs. Sylvia Hammond ‘f’ of Lagos state gave her PEUGEOT saloon car with registration no. JJJ271DB Lagos valued N1.5million to one Lukman, a mechanic in Lagos State for repairs but he took the vehicle and made away to unknown destination. During Police investigation, on 30/04/2018 at about 0900hrs one Bashiru Yakubu ‘m’ aged 35yrs of General Hospital Kontagora LGA was arrested while trying to re-register the said vehicle at the FRSC office Minna and he claimed to have bought the Vehicle from one Abiodun Ogundipe ‘m’ aged 40yrs of Al-Ummah motors Kontagora  at the rate of N600, 000. Case will soon be charged to court.
Similarly, on 16/05/2018 at about 1500hrs information received from one Aminu Ibrahim ‘m’ of Chanchaga area  Minna that on the same date at about 1500hrs he parked his Honda Civic car with reg. no. MD701ABC Abuja by the gate of Kure Ultra Modern market Minna and entered inside the market but the vehicle was stolen before he returned back.

On receipt of the information police detectives attached to the Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad trailed and arrested the suspect one Adamu Yusuf ’m’ aged 45yrs of new Nyanya by NNPC Abuja with the said vehicle along Minna Paiko Road. Suspect confessed to the crime. Case will be charged to court.
On 06/08/2018 at about 1000hrs, Police detectives attached to Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad while on surveillance patrol intercept one Oro Abubakar aged 45yrs and Usman Mohammed aged 45yrs all ‘m’ of New-Bussa Borgu LGA in possession of one locally made pistol, one bottle of suspected mercury, four thousand dollars in one hundred dollar denomination, six thousand naira in one thousand naira denomination suspected to be counterfeit and a cash sum of eighty thousand naira. Suspect confessed to be advance fee fraudster. Case will be charged to court.
On 13/05/2018 at about 1200hrs based on a tip-off, a team of Police operatives attached to command SARS while on patrol along M.I Wushishi road arrested  one Abubakar Salihu ‘m’ aged 20yrs and Solomon Sunday ‘m’ aged 19yrs of Sabon Gari area Minna in an attempted to cut the armor cable from the step down transformer located at the house of one Aliyu Ibrahim ‘m’ behind house of assembly quarters Minna.

The man who murdered his fiancee and deposited her corpse in a bin in Oshodi, Lagos, is believed to have killed her because another man picked her call while he was away on a journey.
Isaiah Chukwu, 35, a spare parts dealer in Ladipo, Oshodi, lived with his 26-year-old lover, identified only as Joy, in a house on Balogun Street, Oshodi. Though not married, Chukwu and Joy, both indigenes of Ebonyi State, had been living together for the past two years.

All seemed smooth in their relationship until Chukwu traveled, then called Joy on the phone, only to hear another man's voice. He concluded Joy was cheating on him and when he returned to Lagos, he stabbed her in the back. He then declared her missing.
However, he ran out of luck when he tried disposing of the body and was caught by youths in the neighborhood.

After spending two months in jail for insulting President John Magufuli, Mbeya Urban MP Joseph Mbilinyi of opposition party Chadema, has addressed parliament about prisoner rights. Mbilinyi, also known as Sagu, said that some police officers are not performing their investigative duties properly.Dodoma — Mbeya Urban MP Joseph Mbilinyi (Chadema) has advocated for prisoner's rights in Parliament on Tuesday morning, raising concerns regarding transportation hurdles that prisoners face.
Mr Mbilinyi, also known as Sugu, who was released from jail early this month cited an incident whereby prison officials handcuffed inmates as they walked along the streets on their way to court.
"That is not fair, and unsafe for both the prison officials and the inmates. What if the accused are say, accused of robbery and the prison guards take matters in their own hands... ," he questioned, adding that this could be a case of extrajudicial killings.
"Thank you Mr Sugu for advocating for prisons," said the Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Job Ndugai.
"I thank you for asking a question from experience. That was a good example and we take note of your advice," said the Home Affairs minister Dr Mwigulu Nchemba as he responded.

Lagos State Government has disclosed that its Child Rights Law is being reviewed to widen the scope of punishable offences and persons as well as accommodate present-day realities.  
The Permanent Secretary and Solicitor-General Ministry of Justice, Funlola Odunlami, who disclosed this in her office stated that some punishments as stipulated in the law have not served its intended purpose of deterring abusers of children from desisting from such acts, hence the need to review the Child Rights Law.

Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo today said any leader who cannot perform in office by providing leadership should get out of office.  

Obasanjo, who spoke at the Lagos State University, LASU, Convocation lecture in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria said such a leader should not think of seeking re-election but to get out of office.  


The former President, though, did not mention the name of President Muhammadu Buhari in his speech, but his words betrayed him and pointed to the president. Obasanjo spoke on the “Role of tertiary education in promoting social cohesion and peace: Opportunities and Challenges for Nigeria.” He said four needs were basic features anyone leading a country must be ready to bring to fore because they worked together.

Keith Morris befriended several families living in a Kenyan village over a period of around 20 years and gave them money and gifts, as well as paying for medical treatment and children's education.
During his visits to the village, Morris would take groups of children out of the village for day trips and often invited them to stay in hotel rooms.
On these trips, he would buy the children sweets and make-up and take them out for meals, Britain's Crown Prosecution Service said in a statement.

The death, which involved a person confirmed by lab tests as having the viral disease, occurred in Wangata, a district of Mbandaka, the ministry said in a press release.
So far, there have been 51 cases since the outbreak was declared on May 8, it said. Of these, 28 cases have been confirmed, 21 are probable and two are suspected.
One of the world's most notorious diseases, Ebola is a virus-caused haemorrhagic fever that in extreme cases leads to fatal bleeding from internal organs, the mouth, eyes or ears.

A gang that kidnapped a South African teenager from a playground at the weekend have demanded a ransom in bitcoin worth about $123,000, police have said.
The 13-year-old boy was taken in the town of Witbank in the eastern province of Mpumalanga while he was playing with two friends near his home. Witnesses said a Toyota Corolla pulled up nearby and the teenager was dragged in and driven away.
“We are investigating a case of kidnapping that happened on Sunday in Witbank. There was a demand that was made that the parents should deposit cash in bitcoins,” the police spokesman Leonard Hlathi said on Tuesday. Local media said the ransom note was left at the scene.“This is a kidnapping … We demand ransom of 15 bitcoins to be paid into the below bitcoin wallet address to secure your child’s safe release – non-negotiable,” the note reportedly read.
