Ed Smart, the father of kidnapping survivor Elizabeth Smart, who was abducted in 2002 has announced he is gay, divorcing his wife, and is also leaving The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Smart, 64, of Salt Lake City said in a letter shared on his Facebook page that he no longer feels comfortable being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which opposes gay marriage and same-sex relationships but preaches love and compassion for LGBTQ people.

Nigerian Model narrates how she escaped being a victim of a fake agency on Instagram

A Nigerian model has raised an alarm after narrowly escaping a trap which was tied to an offer from a fake agency on Instagram. 

According to the model, the initial location she was given for the new product advert was in Festac but they moved it to Egbeda area of Lagos. After she got to the new location and was taken to a mini hotel and bar, she started calling her friends which the fake agency's representative frowned at. She was however let off by the agency after they felt their cover was blown.

Bisi Alimi has reacted to the arrest of the CEO of Invictus Group, Obinwanne Okeke by America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over a $12 million (N4.3bn) fraud. 

Recall LIB reported that the Forbes-rated young Nigerian billionaire was arrested last week on the last day of his trip to the United States for allegedly defrauding top American companies of huge sums. He was accused of "stealing" $12m from a steel company by hacking into an executive’s office365 account and sending an email with a fake invoice to the purchase department. 

Commenting on the arrest which is now a major topic on social media, Bisi Alimi said that Nigerians have a stupid fraudulent act of saying “it’s by God’s grace” when you ask them the secrets of their success. Delta State government to ban mothers from bringing babies to the office

Nkem Okwuofu, the chairman of Delta state Civil Service Commission has revealed that an official memo to all departments of government in Delta State banning nursing mothers among the civil servants from bringing their babies to office is underway.   

He spoke during a routine inspection exercise at the Directorate of Sustainable Development Goals on Thursday in Asaba. She, however, said the commission would provide creche facilities within the ministries to enable nursing mothers to take care of their babies.

A Forbes-rated young Nigerian billionaire and CEO of Invictus Group, Obinwanne Okeke has been arrested by America's Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) over a $12 million (N4.3bn) fraud. 

He was arrested last week on the last day of his trip to the United States for allegedly defrauding top American companies of huge sums. Notably, he allegedly scammed $12m from a steel company by hacking into an executive’s office365 account and sending an email with a fake invoice to the purchase department. His arrest came after Special Agent Marshall Ward of the FBI and the team he heads opened up an investigation in July 2018, following a petition by Unatrac Holding Limited.

Senate vows to pass 2020 budget before Christmas

The Senate will pass the 2020 national budget before this year’s Christmas. The senate President, Ahmed Lawan, gave the assurance after visiting Katsina State governor, Aminu Bello Masari, at Government House yesterday August 16th.

He said the National Assembly is expecting the budget from the presidency by September and hoped to deliberate and pass it within two months.
