A$AP Rocky's Swedish lawyer is 'shot in the head and chest' as he leaves apartment in downtown Stockholm

The prominent Swedish lawyer who first represented A$AP Rocky in his Stockholm assault case has been shot.  

Henrik Olsson Lilja was leaving his apartment building in downtown Stockholm shortly before nine this morning when a gunman approached and shot him in the head and chest.

Neighbours saw a person wrestle the lawyer in a stairwell, before they called the police, who have since arrested several suspects.  

A woman, also a senior lawyer, who was previously banned from contacting Olsson Lilja is among those arrested, but the shooter has been identified as a man. 

Xenophobia: Oshiomhole asks FG to take over South African-owned businesses

A call to nationalize South African-owned businesses in Nigeria has been made by the national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole, days after Nigerian businesses were attacked by South Africans in a recent xenophobic attack. 

Speaking at the end of an emergency National Working Committee (NWC) meeting of the APC in Abuja on Thursday September 5, the former Governor of Edo State said that a boycott of MTN which is one of the South African owned businesses in Nigeria, will send a strong message.

Madagascar's national football team, Barea, have cancelled their football match with South Africa National team, Bafana Bafana, in protest of the recent xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other Africans residing in the country. Bafana Bafana announced this on its verified Twitter handle. 

Recal that the Zambian National team also withdrew from an earlier scheduled match against the Bafana Bafana.

Apple offers to pay $1million to anyone who can hack an updated iPhone

Apple is offering a $1 million reward to anyone who can hack an iPhone as part of the company’s newly-expanded bug bounty program.  

The tech giant’s head of security engineering Ivan Krsti? recently shared the news at a conference in Las Vegas. 

Previously, the program was invite-only and the highest reward was $200,000. And for the first time, the program will include all Apple platforms, including iOS, iCloud, tvOS, iPadOS, watchOS and macOS.

South Africa blames Afrophobia for violence against foreigners

Barely a day after the South African embassy in Nigeria was shut down over threats of retaliatory violence, the country's Foreign Minister Naledi Pandor has acknowledged the "existence" of afrophobia (resentment of other Africans) amongst its citizens. 

Pandor in an interview with newsmen at the continental economic conference in Cape Town, said they decided to temporarily close the embassy in Nigeria for security reasons after receiving threats of violence. Reuters reported that she disclosed that South African authorities are working to restore calm in areas affected by the violence.

Fishing is the biggest industry in Makoko and residents are constantly exposed to the marshy waters that are teaming with mosquitos. This deadly combination can lead to cholera, malaria and many other deadly diseases. But a lack of local government funds to provide good infrastructure and healthcare means a staggering 97,000 children die each year in Nigeria from diarrhoea alone.

A 74-year old woman has delivered twin baby girls after 54-years of marriage.

Indian newspaper, The Hans India reported that the delivery was done in a private hospital in Guntur city on Thursday, September 5th. According to doctors, Yerramatti Raja Rao who hails from Nelapartipadu in East Godavari district married Mangayamma on March 22, 1962. 

The marriage was fruitless for decades until Yerramatti read about a pregnant 55 year-old woman residing near her house. The woman became pregnant through IVF. Mangayamma drew inspiration from the neighbour and along with her husband approached Ahalya Nursing Home in Guntur city.

A man was charged 99,983.64 (£55,300) for just one bottle of beer at a Manchester hotel and he took to Twitter to share his experience.

Peter Lalor, a cricket writer from Australia, said he thinks the beer he was served could be "the most expensive beer in history".

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office has arrested another FBI-wanted internet fraudster identified as Emmanuel Adedeji Oluwatosin.    

He was arrested in Kaduna by EFCC operatives. The Zonal Head, Abdullahi Lawal confimred Oluwatosin’s name is on the wanted list of the FBI.  

Lawal while parading the suspect in Sokoto on Thursday listed the assets recovered from his residence. They were Mercedes Benz E550, Mercedes Benz C450, an IPhone, laptops, modem and SIM cards.
