The Nest of Champions in Uyo will be bubbling tonight as the Super Eagles’ B team made largely of Nigeria Professional Football League stars will be up against newly-crowned Europa League champions, Atletico Madrid.
With top stars like Fernando Torres, Joan Oblak and Juafran all in town, the NPFL stars are ready to show they could ruffle feathers against the La Liga players also.
Those who thought this would be a much weakened Atletico de Madrid side are mistaken, as it is a very strong looking lineup going up against the home-based Super Eagles of Nigeria with a sprinkle of foreign-based pros.
Already, Super Eagles’ B Coach Salisu Yusuf has named the Nwakali brothers, Chidiebere and Kelechi, in the starting lineup for tonight’s friendly against the UEFA Europa League winners.
