“Again? Haven’t you already been there?”
Somewhere along the way, travel became a collection exercise. Another country. Another city. Another pin on the map.
Yet returning to a place you love has its own appeal.
You already understand a little of how it works. You may know which neighbourhood suits you, where you enjoyed breakfast and which journey felt unnecessarily complicated. That familiarity gives you a useful starting point.
Build your return around one favourite experience and one new discovery. Revisit the café you remember, then explore a street you missed. Book the gallery you could not fit in last time. Try a different season if the timing suits you.
Leave room for the destination to have changed, too. A beloved restaurant may have closed. Your own tastes may be different. Returning works best when curiosity comes with you.
You do not have to defend a place that makes you happy simply because it is already in your photo album.
Sometimes you want discovery. Sometimes you want the pleasure of finding your way back.
Which destination would you happily visit again—and what would you do first?
