Woman cuts open her face to perform facelift surgery on herself and films it (graphic content)

A woman has shocked viewers after she cut her face open to perform a facelift surgery on herself, and filmed the entire process.

The shocking footage, believed to have been filmed in China, shows the woman using a scalpel and tweezers to cut open the skin under her eye. The woman was dressed in a hospital gown in the clip and had pen marks drawn under her eyes. The cut on her face followed the pen marks.

The woman was performing the surgery to get rid of wrinkles. She is seen in the video showing the skin under her right eye which had been sliced open, then she pulled it backwards to show what it will look like when it's been stitched. She didn't seem to be in any form of pain.

She says: "This is the second time I’m giving myself a facelift."

As she pulls her skin upwards, tightening it across her cheek she asks: "Do I look younger?" 

Viewers do not believe she really did the surgery herself and they are suggesting there must have been surgeons nearby.

Viewer Ji Mi-cheng, who watched the clip when it went viral on Chinese social media, said: "I’m pretty sure she just asked the surgeon to stop halfway so she could pose for the camera. Minutes before and after this are likely filled with blood."

On March 28th, troops of 23 Brigade Nigerian Army under Operation LAFIYA DOLE acting on a tip off arrested 3 suspected Boko Haram terrorists at Ngurore.

The suspects, Adam Yagga, Musa Kamsulum and Abba Djidoum are all from Darajimal in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.    

One of the suspects, Abba Djidoum, with series of Gunshot wounds on his thigh, confessed to have operated with the Boko Haram terrorists at fringes of Izza, Wudula and Blakule in Bama Local Government Area of Borno State.

Suspect is undergoing preliminary investigation with 23 Brigade Provost Company.  We commend patriotic members of Civilian vigilante (Civilian JTF) for their resilience, continued cooperation with troops and urge members of the public to emulate their vigilance and security consciousness by reporting any suspicious persons or objects to the nearest military location.  

The statement by the Nigerian army also states. 'we wish to remind repentant Boko Haram fighters that the window of opportunity to embrace the Federal Government Amnesty program is still open for them to surrender and lay down their weapons. It is also gratifying to report that the troops' morale remains high as they dominate the general area with a robust fighting patrol in continuation with the clearance operations'

She also disclosed that she feels their fellow housemates, Nina and Miracle are responsible for using the condoms, while Cee-C appealed to Big Brother to be showing shower sessions.

At least 68 die in huge fire after Venezuela prison riot

No fewer than 68 people have died after fire swept through the cell area inside a police station in Venezuela.

The country’s chief prosecutor, Attorney General Tarek William Saab, said that nearly all the dead were prisoners. He said two women who were staying overnight at the station were also killed, but did not provide any further details.

A Nigerian lady shared a tweet about her relative's relationship choices and how it turned out and people angry with the choice she made.

Adannaya told of how her relative had two suitors, a rich man and a poor man, but she chose the rich one. Apparently, people were expecting it to end with her regretting her choice for choosing the rich man, but when it didn't end that way, they called her and her relative out for choosing a rich guy over a poor one.

However, she also had some Twitter users who defended her and asked questions like; why are people so angry that she chose the rich guy? Is it now a crime to marry rich? and when did marrying poor mean that more happiness will be guaranteed?

In all, Adannaya was calm about it and replied lightly to most of the angry words thrown at her.

Read the press statement from the Nigeria Police force on the removal of the Kogi state Commissioner of Police

The Inspector General of Police, IGP Ibrahim K. Idris, dissatisfied with the circumstances surrounding the escape of six (6) suspects including two (2) Principal Suspects (KABIRU SEIDU A.K.A OSAMA, NUHU SALISU A.K.A SMALL) who indicted Senator Dino Melaye and Mohammed Audu in a case of Conspiracy and Unlawful possession of Prohibited Firearm already filed at the Federal High Court, Lokoja which came up in court today, 28th March, 2018, has ordered the immediate removal of Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Ali Janga.

2. The Commander FSARS in the State, the Divisional Police Officer ‘A’ Division, Lokoja and other Police officers implicated in the escape for negligence, dereliction of duty and gross misconduct in the escape of the six (6) suspects have also been transferred out of the State and are facing serious disciplinary action. Thirteen (13) other Police officers are currently being detained and investigated for their roles in the escape.

3. CP Esa Sunday Ogbu, Commissioner of Police, Federal Operations, Force Headquarters, Abuja has been directed by the IGP to immediately proceed and take over as the new Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command.

4. Furthermore, on the order of the IGP, the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team and Special Tactical Squad, Personnel of the Force Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department have already arrived in Kogi State to work with the Police personnel in the State for immediate re-arrest of the escaped suspects. They are to also carry out detail investigation into the escape and bring all those involved to justice.

5. The Force wishes to implore the good people of Kogi State to remain calm and assist with useful information to the Joint Police Investigation Team. They can report any information they have on the escaped suspects to the nearest Police Station in the State or any other State in the Country.

Edo man abandons his wife of 12 years after she delivered triplets

A 44-year-old motorbike operator abandoned his wife,  Ugoma Edobor after she gave birth to triplets in Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State.

Narrating her plight to newsmen in Benin-City, Mrs. Edobor, said she had been married to Paul Edobor, for 12 years and after he learnt that she was delivered of triplets, all girls, he refused to show up at home let alone pick her calls.

“My husband ran away because he cannot take care of the babies. My husband was aware that I was going to the hospital for antenatal but I put to bed at home. He left me when I was in my labour. After I have put to bed, I put a call to him but he refused to pick my calls”, she said.
She said since her husband absconded, she and her babies had been living at the mercies of good spirited Nigerians.

“All this time while he was away, people have been the ones helping me to the extent of buying me baby things. I have been going to the market places and churches with the babies to beg for alms. Wherever I go, people thanked God for giving me these babies”, she said.

Mrs. Edobor called on the state government and other well meaning Nigerians to come to her aid to enable her take care of her babies.

“I want the government and good spirited individuals to come to my assistance to enable me take care of my babies”, she said.

She further pleaded for her husband to come back home, adding that she has forgiven him.

“I want my husband to come back to me. I have forgiven him. We have married in the traditional way therefore, there is no going back.

“We both met in Lagos and we decided to relocate to Uromi. We have been married for 12 years now and we have five children altogether now,” she said.

Planned protest by Nigerian Bar Association is most inappropriate at this time - Lagos Police Command warns!

The Commissioner of Police Lagos State, has reacted to the news of a planned protest by the Nigerian Bar Association Chairman, Ikeja branch, Mr. Adesina Ogunlana who plans to use the occasion of the visit of the President Buhari to protest the Land Use Charge policy of the Lagos State Government. 

The CP in a statement signed by the State PRO. Chike Oti believes strongly that the planned protest by the NBA is the handiwork of mischief makers who are using the NBA as a launching pad to possibly compromise the security emplaced for the presidential visit. 

"It must be recalled that on the 12th of March 2018, the Lagos State Police Command availed the NBA Ikeja branch its security assets and escorted them to the Government House Alausa to protest the increase in the Land Use Charge. At Alausa they were addressed and afterwards escorted back to their base. It is baffling that the same NBA whose right to protest has never been denied to use the auspicious occasion of the President's visit to protest and disrupt the occasion and by extension compromise the security of the President is to say the least most incomprehensible" the statement read.

 
"For the avoidance of doubt, the Lagos State Police Command will not tolerate any protest from the NBA or from any group or individual for that matter during the visit of Mr President whom Lagosians are ready to receive warmly. The NBA and any group wanting to protest at this time are warned to jettison the idea or face dire consequences which may include arrest and prosecution of participants. It is curious that of all the NBA branches in Lagos, it is only the Ikeja branch that has been using the option of protest and civil disobedience despite several options available to it thus lending credence to the intelligence report that the Chairman of the NBA is a pawn in the hands of some disgruntled politicians".

23 Ugandan radio stations shut down for ‘promoting witchcraft’

No fewer than  23 radio stations have been sut down by Ugandan authorities for “promoting witchcraft’’ and trying to con people out of money.

The stations’ licencses were suspended after they had guests on air who claimed they could heal diseases like HIV, Pamela Ankunda, the Uganda Communications Commission spokesperson revealed.

“The radios have been promoting witchcraft. People claimed on these radios to cure diseases like AIDS and cancer . These people have been fraudulently getting money from the public. Their operations and licences have been suspended until they are able to assure the commission through writing that they will abide by the minimum broadcasting standards,’’ Ankunda said.

She said that Uganda has 292 radio stations, mostly privately-owned and its common for various religious leaders, self-proclaimed prophets and traditional healers in Africa to claim being able to cure HIV and other incurable diseases through their platforms.

Rapper DMX sentenced to one-year in prison

New York rapper, DMX has been sentenced to one year in prison for tax evasion.

The 47-year-old rapper was handed the sentence during a hearing in Manhattan on Wednesday, after having pleaded guilty to the charges last year November.

The rapper who was first arrested in July 2017,  was facing 14 charges of tax fraud. He initially pled not guilty and paid $500,000 to be released on bail, but later pled guilty to one count in November as part of a deal with authorities. 

According to TMZ, the New York rapper would have faced up to 4 years in prison if the deal hadn't been struck. But following the12 months jail term, DMX whose real name is Earl Simmons will have three years of supervised release when he's out of prison.

Court asks Senator Abaribe to produce Nnamdi Kanu or risk jail sentence

The Federal high court, Abuja, has asked Senator Enyinaya Abaribe and two others to produce leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu in court for the next hearing of his treason case on June 26th 2018 or face jail term.

Recall that Abaribe, Immanuel El-Shalom, a Jewish high priest, and Tochukwu Uchendu, a chartered accountant, stood surety for Kanu when he was granted bail on April 27th last year after spending over a year in detention.

Kanu has however gone underground after the military invasion of his home in Abia state in September last year.

At the resumed hearing of Kanu's treason case yesterday March 28th, Justice Binta Nyako told counsel to the senator and the two others to either produce Kanu in court during the next hearing or forfeit their N100 million bail bond issued when he was grnted bail or go to jail. 

Kanu is facing a four-count amended charge preferred against him and four others, whose trial had since been separated from his. Abaribe and the two others entered an undertaken to produce Kanu before the court to face his trial by standing as sureties for him.

Katsina State Police recover 198 Illegal firearms from herdsmen and cattle rustlers

The Katsina Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili confirms that not less than 198 different types of illegal firearms have been recovered from herdsmen and cattle rustlers across the state.  

Giving a breakdown of the seizures at a news conference in Katsina on Wednesday, the Commissioner listed the recovered arms to include 20 AK47 rifles, 10  G3 rifles, 70 locally made pistols, one locally made rifle, 80 locally made Dane guns, five double barrelled guns, 840 ammunition, 50 magazines, eight pump action rifles and two SMG.
