Singer, Solange Knowles and her husband Alan Ferguson were spotted leaving Sydney in matching outfits on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old singer who performed at the Sydney Opera House last Friday for Vivid Live, where she wowed fans, was pictured hand-in-hand with her husband as they walked through Sydney airport.

The pair who got married in 2014 rocked matching black tracksuits and white sneakers.

Ogun Customs seizes N64.2m Range Rover, arrests 2 (photos)

The Ogun Command of Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, seized a brand new Range Rover (Velar), 2018/2019 model, with a Duty Paid Value, DPV, of N64.2million.

Addressing Journalists yesterday at Idiroko, the border between Nigeria and Republic of Benin, Customs Area Controller of the Command, Comptroller Agbara Ojobo Michael disclosed that the seizure tagged "the seizure of the month" is the second of such seizure made this year. The vehicle was seized through intelligence technique mapped out by Comptroller Michael.

Comptroller Michael told journalists:

??????It is a propitious time when we have set the ball rolling in the quest to effectively perform our core functions of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and facilitation of legitimate trade.

It is pertinent to inform you that in the area of anti-smuggling, the Command made seizures of 51 vehicles (19 Tokunbo vehicles and 32 means of conveyance), 5,103 bags of foreign rice (50kg each), 135 gallons of vegetable oil (25litres each), 33 bags of sugar (50kg each), seven bales of secondhand clothing, three bales, 36 sacks and 300 pairs of foot wears, 129 pieces of used tyres, 102 gallons of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) of 25 litres each, commonly known as petrol, and one sack of ladies handbags, with a Duty Paid Value of N370,892,666.00.

Police says 4 gang leaders accompanied Bukola Saraki to sympathise with Offa monarch two days after Offa robbery

Jobless son, 46, admits killing his own mother, stabbed her 17 times after she complained the tea he'd made her wasn’t milky enough

A jobless man has admitted killing his own mother over an argument of milk in a cup of tea.

Thomas Westwood, 46, knifed his 68-year-old mother Susan Westwood, 17 times at her home in Coventry on Friday, December 1, last year. She suffered fatal injuries in the attack which later took her life.

The unemployed killer, of Tile Hill, Coventry, was arrested after officers were called to the scene. He claimed his mother had been bullying him every day and said she was the one who first attacked him with the knife.

A bible Whitney Houston left behind when she moved out of her Newport Beach luxury rental has been put up for sale by her former landlord for a whopping $95,000.

The owner of the home Whitney rented from 2009 to2011 says he found the bible in a box along with some clothes and CDs by the trash after she'd moved out. He says he had signed an NDA and contacted Houston's agent about the left-behind items, but was told he could keep them.?

A good Samaritan has cautioned well-meaning Nigerians, asking them to beware of a couple of young boys claiming they need help only to end up stealing from you when you offer help.

Emmanuel Owuala shared photos of the young boys who station themselves at the Udoumana traffic light to sell sub stories. He said they told him they needed money to buy pure water and start a business. Emmanuel took pity on them and gave another young boy some money and asked him to go with the boys to get them the pure water they needed for their business, but on the way, the boys dragged the money from the other boy Emmanuel gave the money to, threatened to beat him up, and ran off with the money to buy a "concoction"  instead of the pure water they claimed they needed.

Drug addict kills girlfriend in Yola for cheating on him

A man has been arrested by police in Yola, Adamawa state for the murder of his girlfriend who he stabbed to death because she was seeing another guy.

Muhammed Adamu has been dating 24-year-old Hauwa Muhammad since 2014 and, according to him, she was the perfect girlfriend. But after waiting years for him to marry her, and he didn't, another man showed interest in her and Hauwa indicated interest in moving forward with the man. This angered Adamu and he stabbed her in Yola.

A Ghanaian lady has taken to Twitter to praise Nigerian man, saying they are the best men in the whole of Africa. She also admonished Nigerian women for not knowing what they have.

She said Nigerian men are even better than her Ghanian men. One of the reasons she gave is that Nigerian men respect the women in their lives and even when they cheat, they are discreet about it so as not to offend their women.

A lot of Nigerian men flooded her mentions after the post was shared to say they agree with her. But Nigerian women do not seem to agree and they said as much on Twitter.

Okocha named in FIFA legends squad ahead of 2018 World Cup

Nigerian football legend and Super Eagles captain, Austin Jay-Jay Okocha, has been named in the FIFA Legends squad that will face the Russian National Team Legends in an exhibition match ahead of the 2018 World Cup tournament.

The exhibition match will take place at the Football Park in Kaliningrad on Sunday, June 3, 2018.

APC House of Representatives member, Adams Jagaba, formally defects to PDP

A member of the House of Representatives who represents Kachia/Kagarko federal constituency, Adams Jagaba, has formally defected from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP). 

The speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, read a letter from Jagaba, announcing his defection to the opposition today May 30th. The lawmaker described the APC as a sinking ship.

Preacher wants $54million in donations because God told him to get his fourth private jet

An evangelist is asking his "disciples" to pray for him so that he can buy a $54milllion private jet as God instructed.

Jesse Duplantis, who already has three private planes, said that God told him "I want you to believe in me for a Falcon 7X". He said this to his followers during his weekly video address.

Duplantis, 68, says the three-engine plane would allow the ministry to fly "anywhere in the world in one stop," reducing fuel costs while maintaining a global reach. He added that Jesus Christ "wouldn’t be riding a donkey" today – "he’d be in an airplane flying all over the world."

44 Nigerian and Ghanaian migrants die in Sahara Desert after their truck broke down (Photo)

No fewer than 44 migrants from Nigeria and Ghana have died in the Sahara Desert after their truck broke down in arid northern Niger.  

The Red Cross said the migrants, most of whom have not been identified, died this week and according to Reuters, six survivors walked to a remote village where they said that 44 people, mostly from Ghana and Nigeria and including three babies and two other children, died of thirst, said Lawal Taher, the department head for the Red Cross in the Bilma region.

Man battered girlfriend because "she undercooked his chicken Kiev" (photos)

A man beat up his girlfriend so badly that she needed hospital treatment and the reason he gave is that she had undercooked his chicken Kiev.

Scott Howell, 32, an ex-Army reserve soldier, attacked Michelle Mundt, also 32, in anger over his dinner at the home they shared with their baby son in Glasgow, a family friend said. Michell was left with horrendous facial injuries and had to be taken to hospital after the violent assault.

A source close to the family said Michelle had been the victim of abuse for a year before Howell was finally arrested and he was only caught out because Michelle was taken to the hospital.

In a case of apparent murder suicide, a man shot his wife dead then killed himself in Wiharn Khao sub-district of Singburi, Thailand.

Tha Chang police found 57 year old Sawian Janhorm dead in the arms of his wife Kanyaphak, 55.

The evidence showed that Sawian, a truck driver, had shot his wife in the neck then cradled her dead body in his arms and shot himself in the side of the head.

Both were lying in the kitchen in a large pool of blood.

The son of former Zambian President Frederick Chiluba has appealed after he was sentenced to eight months' hard labour for stealing a mobile phone.  

Frederick Chiluba Jr was sentenced two weeks ago after being found guilty of stealing a Samsung S7 edge, valued at $843 (£626). The Lusaka Magistrate court heard how Chiluba Jr stole the device from a woman, Brenda Chisha, on 2 September 2017 before trading it for drugs in a notorious slum in Zambia's capital, Lusaka.  

Lagos Police warn that attack on police or police property will no longer be tolerated after okada riders burn police car in revenge for colleague's death

Motorcycle riders in Lagos, aka Okada men, burnt a police patrol van in Ikorordu today in revenge for a colleague who died while evading police officers.

A statement released by the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Chike Oti stated that the police patrol van was burnt at a spot in Ibeshe, Ipakodo area of Ikorodu, Lagos state, by irate motorcyclists at about 10:45am.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, today secured the conviction and sentencing of one Taiwo Michael Okunowo, an Internet fraudster, before Justice S.O. Solebo of the State High court sitting in Ikeja, Lagos on a one- count charge bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and possession of fraudulent documents.

The convict was arrested following intelligence report received by the Commission on December 15, 2017 about his fraudulent activities.
