Prophet Aika demands N750k to pray for Nigeria to win the World Cup (video)

A Benin based prophet is demanding N750,000 to pray for the Super Eagles to win World Cup 2018.

Prophet Tommy Yisa Aika has predicted that Nigeria will be the first in Africa to lift the mundial, especially in the era of President Muhammadu Buhari. He said that God is interested in Nigeria’s Super Eagles conquering the world at the Russia 2018 World Cup "but because we have disobeyed God as a result of our nonchalance towards His directive that we should not engage a Whiteman to lead our team we may lose this golden opportunity which may not come to us again for another sixty years."

To appease God, Prophet Aika volunteered to intervene with his over 60 prayer warriors, who are already on standby, to undertake ceaseless prayer sessions "so that what has been destroyed can be readjusted to grant the Super Eagles divine favour all through the tournament."

The OAU Vice-Chancellor, Eyitope Ogunbodede, announced the sacking at a press conference in Ile-Ife today.

In a Facebook post that had since gone viral, a man identified as GoodLuck praised his wife after she saved him from embarrassment.

According to the happy man, his landlord came barging into his apartment and demanded he paid the house rent which expired last month.

To his greatest surprise, his wife gave him the sum of N147, 400 which she had been saving in a local piggy bank which he used to pay the house rent.

Daddy Freeze gives brilliant response to Pastor Adeboye's son, Leke Adeboye, after he advised Nigerians to go back to farming and stop asking the church for money

Leke Adeboye, one of the sons of Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, advised Nigerians in a video to go back to farming to meet their needs and stop asking the church for financial assistance.

Leke said in the video that Nigerians have gone out of recession but now face famine and to combat this problem, he asked Nigerians to go back to farming and the era of trade by barter. Whatever they are able to produce on their farms, he asked them to use those farm produce in exchange for those things they need but don't have.

Rats have been blamed after bank notes that amount to 1.2m rupees (£13,300, $17,600) were found shredded to bits in a malfunctioning cash machine in Assam, India.

''Investing in a child with sickle cell is a waste'' professor of Genetics, Cyril Otoikhian says

In commemoration of the World Sickle Cell day which is today June 20th, a professor of Genetics, Professor Cyril Otoikhian, was invited to speak on the ailment and how it can be managed since there is no cure.

When asked how parents with children that have the ailment can invest and manage them, the professor said

''Investing in a sickle celled child is like loading your money into a sachet and you are in a moving car, you throw the money away. Sickle cell disease is a genetic disorder. I am a professor of genetics and we know right from time even till tomorrow that genetic disorder are not reversible'' he said

The professor added that the disease is a curse.

''This morning I saw a post on Facebook that read 'Sickle cell is not a curse. It is not a timebomb'. Forget it, Sickle cell is a curse''

Final suspect arrested in horrific case of gang-rape of drugged 8-year-old girl

Thai police on Monday, June 18, arrested the last fugitive in a heinous crime, in which an eight-year-old girl was lured from her home, force fed with methamphetamine pills and gang-raped by three men from the same neighbourhood, before they dumped her unconscious at a roadside spot in Chanthaburi’s Kaeng Hang Maeo district, Thailand last December.

The suspect Jeerasak Sukkhe, 23, was arrested at 4pm on Monday in front of a hospital.

Jeerasak was accused of the crime, which took place on December 18, when he and two others – Chatree Hanchana and Surachet Jomkhamsing – had allegedly lured the girl with the promise of taking her to visit an attraction.
