94-year-old man baptized with 5000 liters of boiled water in Kenya (Photos)

A 94-year-old man from Ossen in Baringo North got baptized with 5000 liters of boiled water in Kenya 

The rare baptism took place at the Ossen AIC church and was presided over by Rev Elijah Katya.

According to the Rev, they were forced to boil the water for baptism due to cold weather and the age of the frail old man. He said it took them two hours to boil the more than 5000 liters of water using firewood and also electric heaters.

Daughter of former deputy governor of Ondo State found dead under the bed of her boyfriend’s house

Adenike Khadijat Oluboyo, daughter of the immediate past Deputy Governor of Ondo State, Alhaji Lasisi Olugbenga Oluboyo, was found dead at her boyfriend’s house in Akure today July 8th..

Oluboyo, who was a final year student of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, was found dead in the house of Adeyemi Alao, popularly known as Q.S.

Femi Joseph, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ondo command told the News Agency of Nigeria that the incident is being investigated.

Six members of the Thai soccer team trapped inside a flooded cave have now been brought out after divers executed a carefully constructed rescue mission.

According to the Thai Public Broadcast Service, the six other players and their coach who are still trapped in the cave will remain underground tonight and be rescued tomorrow.

The starved and exhausted kids are currently being treated at a hospital after they were flown in a military helicopter.

In two months, Twitter suspends over 70 million accounts

Twitter Inc. suspended more than one million accounts in recent months to reduce the flow of misinformation on the platform. Twitter and other social media platforms such as Facebook Inc. have been under scrutiny by United States lawmakers and international regulators for doing too little to prevent the spread of false content.  

The companies have been taking steps such as deleting user accounts, introducing updates and actively monitoring content to help users avoid being victims to fake content. Twitter suspended more than 70 million accounts in May and June, and the pace has continued in July, the media reported on Friday, citing data it obtained.

Kogi PDP rejects Dino Melaye, says he will be a liability not an asset to the party

The Kogi West Elders Forum (KWEF) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)  has rejected any attempt to impose Senator Dino Melaye as the sole senatorial candidate on the people of the Kogi West in 2019. The  elders made this known through its chairman, Hon. Shaibu Momoh, at a meeting held in Lokoja, today July 8th. This development comes amidst Dino's planned defection to the party aytime soon. 

Momoh who spoke on behalf of the elders said Dino if allowed to contest in any free and fair election in the state now will be defeated. The elders said they will vehemently reject any attempt to make Dino an automatic senatorial candidiate

65-year-old man arrested for defiling and impregnating 13-year-old schoolgirl in Edo

A 65-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 13-year-old student in Edo state.

Matthew Omokhafe is accused of raping the minor, a primary four pupil who will not be named, in Akoko-Edo Local Government Area of Edo State. 

Acting Chairman, Edo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Joan Osa Oviawe, disclosed this in a chat with journalists in Benin City, on Friday, noting that the board played active role in the arrest of the culprit.

One Oroh Inweh Oroh, who claims to have been married to the late hunter's daughter who murdered his daughter-in-law, has described him as a very wicked man.

Recall that, Adesco, 65, killed his daughter-in-law and then committed suicide in Erovie quarters in Ozoro town, Delta State. 

Oroh revealed how the deceased took away his two children and their mother and when he went to see the kids, the hunter almost sent him to an early grave.

Paris Saint-Germain has confirmed the signing of veteran Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon on a free transfer following his exit from Juventus.

Omojola Ogundipe, a 20-year-old Bristol University student took her own life in a Cardiff hotel room, just days after a visit home for Mother’s Day. Staff at the Citrus Hotel in Cardiff found her body hanging in her hotel room after she missed her check-out deadline.

Late Omojola, described as "bright and bubbly", was in the second year of her economics undergraduate degree at Bristol University, and was a leading member of the Gospel Choir Society.
