A heartbroken Australian widow won legal right to collect her husband's sperm after he took his own life at 27.

The widow, Jermimah Moylan and her late husband, Sebastian Moylan who married in 2015, were planning on trying for a baby in 2020. She even had to visit doctors and a naturopath to make sure her body was ready before she could get pregnant. 

But on Wednesday, August 14, Sebastian who met his wife at school at 17 took his own life, an action which left Jermimah and their families in complete shock.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has said its investigation so far revealed that the “RevolutionNow” movement was a smokescreen for the actual intention of Omoyele Sowore and his allies “to topple the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

The DSS said it engaged in a painstaking investigation of Sowore’s activities in view of the quantum of evidence so far gathered and may return to court to seek an extension of the 45 days granted it by the Federal High Court, Abuja to detain him.

EFCC finally admits raid, but says they were attacked by Ambode’s hoodlums

The Economic  and Financial Crimes Commission has finally admitted raiding former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode's home after denying the report earlier. 

Though eyewitnesses said the anti-graft agency's operatives were stopped by residents of Epe (Ambode's hometown), the EFCC claimed they were attacked by Ambode's hoodlums in a statement released by its head of media and publicity Wilson Uwajuren. He further disclosed that three officers were injured in the attack, while the EFCC official vehicle was damaged.

Samuel Olukunle Ojo, the immediate past Chief of Staff to the former Governor of Lagos State, has debunked reports in circulation that his house in Epe was raided by the operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Ojo, in a statement by his Media aide, Cornelius Kayode, said the house raided in Epe did not belong to the former Chief of Staff because according to him "Mr Kunle Ojo does not have any personal house in Epe”.

Brigitte Macron has been spotted for the first time since after reportedly having three-hour cosmetic 'facial rejuvenation' surgery at a private hospital last month.

The France's first lady, 66, looked fresh-faced as she stepped out with her husband, French President Emmanuel Macron, 41, this week for a meeting with Russia's President Vladimir Putin at the Fort de Bregancon, a presidential residence in Bormes-Les-Mimosas, southern France.

Her outing comes after a three-week break, during which she reportedly recovered from the procedure. 

According to local media outlets, Brigitte was reportedly placed under general anaesthetic on July 16 before she underwent a three-hour cosmetic surgery operation at the private hospital in Paris before heading off on summer holiday.

37 FRSC officials arrested for extorting money from motorists on Nigerian highways

A Joint Inter-Agency Team led by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested 37 officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) for allegedly extorting money from motorists on Nigerian highways.  

The Team, comprising officials of ICPC, FRSC and the Department of State Security (DSS) also arrested five persons said to be agents of the corps officials in a sting operation carried out simultaneously in the six geo-political zones.
