Super Eagles of Nigeria star, Samuel Chukwueze won Villarreal’s Revelation Player of the 2018-2019 season during the club’s Peña Pardals Grocs Awards.

The Villarreal fans club named the 20-year-old winger as the club's breakout star for the 2018-19 season, in which he scored score eight goals in 38 appearances across all competitions.

The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, on Thursday, August 22nd said the embattled Senior Pastor of the Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, COZA, Biodun Fatoyinbo refused to appear before its panel investigating the rape allegation against him.  

The PFN said because he refused to appear before the panel, the probe had been declared inconclusive.  

According to PFN National Publicity Secretary, Bishop Emma Isong, who spoke with newsmen in Lagos on Thursday, Busola and her husband, Timi Dakolo appeared before the panel while Fatoyinbo did not.

Okoi Obono-Obla, the suspended Chairman of the Special Presidential Investigation Panel on the Recovery of Public Property has blamed his run-in with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other related offences Commission on Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. 

In a lawsuit he filed to challenge the said probe for alleged certificate forgery and extortion on Tuesday August 20, the suspended SPIP chairman said the ICPC had no power to invite, arrest, detain, investigate, or prosecute him in connection with alleged falsification of academic certificates.

Zone 2 Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmus warned her colleagues on the aftermath of extrajudicial killings as she commented on the arrest of four policemen who killed unarmed suspects inside a bus. 

Recall LIB reported that the arrested suspects attached to Iba Division Patrol team were identified as Inspector Fabiyi Omomayara, Sergeant Olaniyi Solomon, Sergeant Solomon Sunday and Corporal Aliyu Mukaila. 

Confirming the arrest of the policemen, Dolapo Badmus stated that they all joined the police for protection of lives and property, and are not paid to kill but to prevent and detect crime. The police spokesperson added that whoever violates the police operational guidelines must be ready to face the music.

The Peoples Democratic Party has accused President Buhari of reducing ministers to his Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari’s clerical aides with the directive that they (ministers) must channel all their meeting requests to him through Kyari.

PDP's National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement said it was an indication that Nigerians would not enjoy good governance during Buhari’s second term.

Toyin Lawani is questioning the double standards that allows men to marry multiple wives but frowns at women doing same. She has now said she will marry 3 husbands when she turns 40 because if a man can do it then so can she.

According to the serial entrepreneur, she will build houses for each of her husbands and there will be a main house where the men will meet her when it's their turn.

She went on to tell men that the world is changing and women can now do what men can do but men can't do what women can. She used pregnancy as an example.

It took me over a year to understand my job as Education Minister - Adamu Adamu

Adamu Adamu has revealed that it took him a year and half to understand how the Federal Ministry of Education works after being retained as head of same agency by President Buhari. 

Speaking to newsmen after being inaugurated alongside other Ministers, Adamu said he had to understand what education meant when he first got to the ministry. He however added that he is returning home to his “family" after heading the Ministry for over three and a half years.
