The former Big Brother Naija reality star shared a video by of herself getting ready and revealed in the caption that she's celibate.

A follower then replied, telling her that her choice to be celibate is the reason why she doesn't own a car. And Uriel hit back at the follower.

Bobrisky reveals the cost of his birthday bash as 19million only

Bobrisky is still licking his wounds from yesterday's police invasion at the venue of his 28th birthday party.

Though he was not arrested, the party didn't hold either and now he's said he spent a total of 19 million naira on the event. 

He's however found solace in his grandma's advice to always ''thank God in every situation.''

President Buhari arrived Abuja on August 31 after participating at the 7th Tokyo International Conference on African Development. 

Recall that the Nigerian President travelled to Japan last Sunday for the TICAD7, themed, “Africa and Yokohama, Sharing Passion for the Future.” President Buhari wooed investors and also held a bilateral meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Abe at the event. 

President Buhari was received at the Presidential Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Saturday by the Chief of Staff Abba Kyari, Governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Umara Zullum, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, IGP Adamu Mohammed and other government officials.

Ronke Oshodi Oke has disagreed with the claims that some celebrity failed marriages were caused because of their involvement in Nollywood. 

Speaking on the high rate of divorce in Nollywood, the 45-year-old actress told Sunday Scoop, “It is not because they are actors that their marriages crash .

There is nobody that is insulated from what’s happening in the society at large. Generally, there are many marriages that don’t last. I have seen someone that was married for just two years and she left the marriage. It is not because one is an actress or an actor that one’s marriage would scatter; it is because that’s what is ‘reigning’ for now. It takes true love for anybody to remain in a marriage when the two partners no longer have feelings for each other.”

Zamfara State governor orders immediate construction of RUGA settlement

Zamfara state governor, Bello Matawalle has ordered for the immediate commencement of construction work on the new Ruga settlements in the state.  

Matawalle issued the directive on Saturday in Gusau after receiving the new Ruga master plan from Emmanuel Ozigi, the project consultant.

Nigerian journalist charged with treason for criticizing Governor Ben Ayade

Agba Jalingo, the publisher of CrossRiverWatch (a Cross River State-based newspaper) who has been in police detention for over a week following his arrest over a report on an alleged diversion of N500 million by the Cross River Governor Ben Ayade, has been charged with treason.

The journalist was handed a four-count charge of treasonable felony, terrorism, cultism, and the disturbance of public peace by the police after being arrested in Lagos and driven by road to Calabar, the capital city of the Cross River State.

Muhammad Akazakwai, a kidnap kingpin said to have masterminded the recent attack on the  Deputy Governor of  Nasarawa State,  Emmanuel Akabe has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS). 

The suspect was arrested at his mother’s residence in Kano where he was being treated for gunshot wounds, days after the attack in which 3 policemen and a civilian were shot dead. A source who confirmed the arrest of Akazakwai, told Punch that 50 AK-47 rifles were recovered from him.

I’ll not interfere with EFCC operations - President Buhari

President Buhari has pledged not to interfere with the operations of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as it strives to uncover and prosecute corrupt public officials in the country.  

The president made the pledge on Saturday at the graduation of 328 cadets of the Detective Superintendent Course 8 of the EFCC. The colourful passing out parade took place at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) parade ground, Ribadu Campus, Kaduna.  

The parade climaxed 13 months of rigorous training to avail the officers with the necessary skills of law enforcement. Buhari who was represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, congratulated the cadets and urged them to contribute their quota to the fight against corruption in the country.

Bala Elkana, the spokesperson of the Lagos state police command, has denied online reports that Bobrisky was arrested after the venue of his birthday was shutdown.

When asked by LIB to confirm if the popular Crossdresser was arrested, Bala said

No he was not arrested''

He however declined to speak on why the party was disrupted. According to him, investigations is ongoing and he will make the outcome of the investigation public soon.

I am not dollars that you can pocket recklessly and sheepishly - Gov Wike replies Ganduje

Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state has blasted his Kano state counterpart, Abdullahi Ganduje, for threatening to take him to court over the reported demolition of Rainbow Town Central Mosque in Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. 

Wike received serious backlash during the week over reported claims he demolished a mosque. He has since denied the claim.

Ganduje in a statement released today, vowed to drag Governor Wike to court over the alleged demolition of the mosque. 

Reacting to Ganduje's threat, Governor Wike in a statement released by his media aide, Simeon Nwakaudu, said the Kano state governor should be reminded that he, Wike, is not a dollar bill Ganduje can pocket'' sheepishly and recklessly''.

Ganduje was involved in a bribery scandal last year after footage of him purportedly receiving wads of dollar bills from contractors in his state surfaced online.

Governor Ganduje threatens to sue Governor Wike over alleged mosque demolition

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje has vowed to drag Governor Nyesom Wike to court over the alleged demolition of the Rainbow Town Central Mosque in Trans-Amadi area of Port Harcourt, Rivers State capital. 

The Governor of one of the 12 northern states practicing Sharia Law said he received the news of the demolition with shock while promising to seek legal redress against the Rivers State Government.

Bobrisky's 28th birthday party might not hold again today August 31st as policemen have shutdown the venue of the party scheduled to hold at an event center in Lekki. Police officers in various operational vehicles stormed the venue and cordoned off the area this evening as the much talked about the party was about to kick off.

South-East govs ban herdsmen, cattle movement

Governos of South-East geopolitical zone have banned movement of herdsmen and cattle from one community to the other within the zone. This decision comes weeks after a Reverend father was murdered by suspected herdsmen in Enugu state.

Waje pointed out that there is nothing going on between her daughter and Johnny Drille. She said the Papa singer is family to her and her daughter.

She went on to add that Emerald can now have a boyfriend but said she isn't keen on letting her get married now because she has to finish school first and get to know herself better.

She also advised young women and asked that they try to know themselves before getting into an early marriage. According to Waje, 20 is too early and most women at the age still haven't discovered themselves.

Waje also spoke about her music, her outburst earlier in the year, and disclosed that she's starting her own merch.

The crossdresser was to hold his 28th birthday party tonight (August 31) at an event center in Lekki. But Police officers in various operational vehicles stormed the venue to enclose the area.

The Federal Government has denied reports that Leah Sharibu is dead.

Leah, a student of Government Girls Science and Technical Secondary School, Dapchi in Yobe state, was kidnapped by a faction of Boko Haram terrorists in February 2018.

Garba Shehu, senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity, denied the reports of Sharibu's death when he spoke with journalists in Abuja today Saturday August 31st. According to Garba, the government is not giving up on negotiations for her release.

All may not be well for former Super Eagles captain and Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder, Mikel John Obi following the decision of the mother of his daughters not to follow him to Turkey. 

Mikel Obi's partner, Olga Diyachenko has reacted to media reports about her alleged plan to dump him, over the footballer's recent move to Turkey.

The report by AOI Football claimed that, 'a very close source to the family stated categorically that the situation could go really sour after Olga told Mikel that she will no longer come to Turkey with her children.

“I can confirm to you that all is not seemingly fine with them. Olga doesn’t like the city and has taken the children back to their base. “In fact, she warned him against the move to Turkey but he convinced her about it. Now she came visiting and doesn’t like it; the kids do not also like it there in Turkey which could now be a problem for Mikel.

“Now Olga has told Mikel that she won’t return to visit him again which means he won’t also see the kids, leaving Mikel with only the chance of seeing his family in December during the Christmas break, a decision which I understand has left him sad, and may unsettle him” the source revealed.

Olga in her reaction expressed her shock and disappointment in the news and especially her followers who were all 'ecstatic' and 'happy' to hear of the 'break up'.
