Man baffled after he was charged almost $100,000 for just one beer at a Manchester hotel

A man was charged 99,983.64 (£55,300) for just one bottle of beer at a Manchester hotel and he took to Twitter to share his experience.

Peter Lalor, a cricket writer from Australia, said he thinks the beer he was served could be "the most expensive beer in history".

But it turns out the beer should have been £5.50 and an error meant he was overcharged and £55,000 was removed from his account. He still hasn’t had a refund for the bottle of Deuchars IP.

The company announced on Thursday, September 5, that the LeBron James Building is the sixth new building added to the Beaverton, Oregon campus since the expansion began in 2015, and will house Nike’s Advanced Innovation team, including its state-of-the-art Sport Research Lab.

EFCC arrests another FBI-wanted suspect in Kaduna State (Photo)

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC, Sokoto Zonal Office has arrested another FBI-wanted internet fraudster identified as Emmanuel Adedeji Oluwatosin.    

He was arrested in Kaduna by EFCC operatives. The Zonal Head, Abdullahi Lawal confimred Oluwatosin’s name is on the wanted list of the FBI.  

Lawal while parading the suspect in Sokoto on Thursday listed the assets recovered from his residence. They were Mercedes Benz E550, Mercedes Benz C450, an IPhone, laptops, modem and SIM cards.

Prime Minister, Boris Johnson has said he'd "rather be dead in a ditch" than delay UK's exit from the European Union beyond October 2019.

Johnson was responding to a question from a reporter after making a speech in front of police recruits in West Yorkshire where he said, 'we must come out of the EU on October 31,”

The speech was however marred at the end by the collapse of a police cadet standing behind him.

Yul Edochie has revealed that at the time he got married at 22, he didn't have anything in his bank account.

The father-of-four made this revelation in a comment to one of his Instagram followers.

The follower commented on a photo of Yul with his children and told the actor that he is lucky to have married early. The follower added that he wants to follow in Yul's footsteps and have an early marriage but his bank balance is not encouraging.

And Yul replied, telling him that at the time he got married, he had nothing in his bank balance.

People of Ukelle in Yala Local Government Area of Cross River State, unleashed their anger on a pastor after accusing him of using residents for rituals

According to Facebook user, James Nicolas, the pastor used three boys for rituals last week. In anger, youths of the community stormed his church which they set ablaze along with his house before beating and parading him .

'Yeah this is the fake prophet who has been using our people for rituals.
Remember earlier this year, we reported a case where about 5 people got missing on their way to North ukelle from Edor, and last week again this same demon has sacrificed 3 boys again from Wanihem.

YouTube removes over 100,000 videos and over 17,000 channels for violating its hate speech rules

YouTube says it has removed more than 100,000 videos and over 17,000 channels for violating its hate speech rules in April through June, which is five times more than it removed in the previous three months.

YouTube also took down over 500 million comments over hate speech and attributed the increase to its recent efforts to counter the proliferation of hate content. In June, the company updated its hate speech policy to include a ban on supremacist content and the removal of videos that deny well-documented atrocities, such as the Holocaust, and the 2012 shooting rampage at Sandy Hook elementary school.

YouTube, which is owned by Google also said it's been able to remove more objectionable content before it was widely viewed efforts that have resulted in an 80% decrease in views on content that is later taken down for violating YouTube's rules.

Human rights lawyer, Femi Falana, has asked the Nigerian Federal Government to sue the South African government and demand compensation for Nigerian victims of the xenophobic attacks in the country.  

Falana, in a statement, titled: “Beyond the condemnation of xenophobic attacks by the federal government,” said like its counterpart in Nigeria, the political class in South Africa have failed to address the challenge of poverty and inequality confronting the majority of the black people.

Voting had ended and the sorting of the ballots had just begun when gunmen invaded the Lokoja Stadium, sending everyone scampering for safety.  

Kola Ologbondiyan, the party’s spokesman, at a press briefing in Abuja today, accused Bello of sending the gunmen, stating that they were “Known APC faces”. He did not provide any proof to justify the accusation but he said his party had “a peaceful, decent, clean, clear, credible and transparent process” in the conduct of its primary.

He was closely followed by Abubakar Mohammed Ibrahim, the son of a former governor, Ibrahim Idris (Ibro), who polled 710 votes. The immediate past governor, Capt. Wada, came third with 345 votes while Senator Melaye polled 70 vote to emerge fourth.

Samson Siasia appeals FIFA's lifetime ban on him, says 'I have never been be a party to any form of unethical conduct'

Samson Siasia, the former Super Eagles’ Chief Coach on Wednesday, Sepetember 4th in Abuja said he has appealed against the life ban slammed on him by world football governing body, FIFA.  

Siasia told newsmen that his lawyers filed the appeal to FIFA on August 27, while another appeal was filed with the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) on August 29. He denied any involvement in any illegal act, such as match-fixing, saying he was well aware they are contrary to the ethics of the football sport.
