The EFCC Lagos Zonal office on Thursday,  June 28, 2018, arraigned one Efe Egube and his firm, Oceanic Energy Services Limited, before Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo of the Special Offences Court sitting in Ikeja , Lagos on a two-count charge bordering on forgery and obtaining by false pretence to the tune of N97, 020, 000.00.

The defendant was said to have fraudulently obtained a loan facility from Enterprise Bank( also known as Heritage Bank), with forged documents.

One of the counts reads: "That you, Efe Egube, Oceanic Energy Services Limited, on or about the 10th day of August, 2013 at Lagos, within the Ikeja Judicial Division, with intent to defraud, obtained the sum of N97, 020, 000.00 (Ninety-seven Million and Twenty Thousand Naira) from Enterprise Bank (a.k.a. Heritage Bank) by falsely representing that the money was the cost of facilitating a Local Purchase Order (LPO) contract from Dangote Industries Limited, which representation you knew to be false."

Nkemjika said she arrived at the registration/collection center, which is at Lagos model school, Marwa, as early as 7am and put down her name. But they were asked to pay N1,000 before they can go into the school to register and collect their PVCs.

Comedian, Ali Baba has attributed the tanker explosion that occured at the Otedola bridge in Lagos yesterday evening to lawlessness. In a post shared on his IG page, the comedian wrote

''In organized societies, where traffic is a major issue, tankers and heavy duty vehicles move at night or at specified times. In developed climes, MOT agencies... are as serious as the police force. In some other climes, that have deep shores like we do, only one port can not be used for discharge of staples like fuel, and even then, fuel and transportation of inflammable contents are done in controlled methods.

We are a Lawless country. If government tries to organize these same tankers now, they will go on strike, shut down the economy and day to day running, and we will let them continue. Same thing with teachers... try to get them to go get retrained and be bwtter qualified to teach, they will strike and wr are back to status quo. We do not punish people who even chop monies meant for projects. Projects that have been captured in the budget and monies released.

Police responded at the scene within 60 seconds of the call of an active shooter at the newsroom in the 800 block of Bestgate Road, Annapolis, at around 2.40pm. Acting police chief William Kamph confirmed five people had been killed and many more had "serious injuries" in the attack.

The suspect, who has not been named, has been taken into custody. Police say he was the sole shooter and that the building, which was evacuated during the attack, has now been secured. No motive has yet been given for the shooting.

The APC chieftain told the body that it had been confirmed that Fulani militants were usually armed with sophisticated weapons and often attack their victims when they are most vulnerable, such as midnight, during church services and burial ceremonies. He said the letter to the UN which he entitled ‘A call for urgent intervention to stop ongoing ethnic cleansing and genocide in Nigeria’ becomes imperative as ways are being sought to end the daily killings of Nigerians.
